Federal Register NoticesThe U.S. AbilityOne Commission publishes Federal Register notices, generally on Fridays, about the Commission’s most common actions – proposed and/or final additions and deletions to the Procurement List of products and services that will be furnished by AbilityOne-participating nonprofit agencies employing persons who are blind or have other significant disabilities. Notices are published under the agency’s statutory name, the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled. The agency operates as the U.S. AbilityOne Commission. Most agency-related notices are published to provide interested persons an opportunity to submit comments on the agency’s proposed actions. Notices also include announcements about the agency’s quarterly public meetings; announcements of changes, such as those to regulations; and other notifications deemed worthy of public attention, determined by the presidentially appointed Commission members or the agency’s Executive Director. The Federal Register is the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents. It is published by the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). |
