Contractors: How to Purchase AbilityOne Products Required by a Federal ContractFederal contracts that have incorporated FAR Clause 52.208-9 "Contractor Use of Mandatory Sources of Supply or Services" require use of AbilityOne products in performance of the contract. AbilityOne products are assigned National Stock Numbers (NSNs). AbilityOne NSNs and product descriptions can be found at www.abilityonecatalog.com. AbilityOne products are available from a variety of sources. Visit https://www.abilityone.gov/distributors/independent.html to find a list of AbilityOne Authorized Independent Distributors. If your contract is at a federal facility that houses an AbilityOne Base Supply Center, you may also buy AbilityOne products there. Certain NSNs will need to be purchased directly from the manufacturing nonprofit agency. In those cases, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) do apply and contractors purchasing directly may be requested to provide financial information and/or credit references. Please send an e-mail to pricinginquiries@nib.org to request information on direct purchases. Please include the NSN(s), quantity required and the Federal contract/solicitation number. Contractors who intend to resell AbilityOne products to federal government agencies or other potential buyers must be an authorized AbiltyOne Distributor. Visit https://www.abilityone.gov/distributors/index.html for more information. General questions should be directed to be Mike Jurkowski, Acting Director, Business Operations, U.S. AbilityOne Commission, at mjurkowski@abilityone.gov or 703-785-6404. |
