AbilityOne Program

AbilityOne Program

The AbilityOne Program creates private-sector jobs in every state for Americans who are blind or have significant disabilities, including veterans and wounded warriors.

These employees strengthen U.S. national security, military readiness, and the defense industrial base by delivering high quality, mission-essential products and services to Federal customers.

Through the AbilityOne Program, which uses the power of Federal contracting, people who are blind or have significant disabilities can earn wages, participate in their communities, and market their AbilityOne-learned skills into other public and private sector jobs.

Americans with disabilities historically have the lowest employment rate of any segment of U.S. society. AbilityOne increases economic opportunities for these citizens by providing employment as well as serving as a springboard to jobs in professional services, manufacturing, skilled trades, and other industries.
